Two months ago (sorry – we got kind of behind on blog posts!) I was praying a lot and asking God how we can be involved in the lives (and neighborhoods) of men working as prostitutes during this season of language study. I clearly heard the response that in this first season our primary role is to be earnestly praying for the men working as prostitutes in our city. God also brought some Scripture verses to mind that speak of His love and boundless grace. One of these is Jeremiah 31:3 “The LORD appeared to us in the past, saying: “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness” (NIV). We have committed to walk and pray neighborhoods where guys are working every week, and as we do so we are confident that God’s primary emotion towards these men is love, and that He so longs for them to know His love fully, and to let it change their lives.
